Help the cower defenders stop the aliens from invading their town and stealing their goods.
There are a huge range of defenders you can train as well as fun special abilities to call upon in times of need.
Enjoy cow puns galore and the hilarious interaction between the persistent aliens and the hot-headed cow sheriff.
Planet Cow is a fun and happy place... a safe haven, so to speak, for all bovine citizens. However, when a cow decided to start dancing to Psy’s Gangnam Style, he accidentally attracted the attention of aliens who subsequently cow-napped him. Now that the aliens are here, they refuse to leave until they have managed to conquer Planet Cow. Play as the headstrong cow-sheriff in your attempt to stop the aliens from entering the town or stealing items from the townfolks!
With an impending alien invasion on your hands, being the sheriff of the town, you’re tasked with the heavy duty of strategizing the positions of the cow defenders under your command. There are currently 15 different types of cow defenders, but you’ll be mostly using the 4 basic cow defenders, namely the milk-gun, slingshot, bottle and glue gun defender, as the other types require real money to unlock and use. Each type of defender has its own advantages and weaknesses and it is up to you to place your defenders in such way that they complement (instead of antagonize) each other.
Defenders can be recruited in-game after you’ve built the respective training centers at your town. Each defender you deploy will cost you a fixed amount of milk. Milk can be, in turn, earned by killing aliens. Naturally, the tougher the alien, the more milk you’ll get. You can also speed up the next wave of aliens in order to get extra milk. Milk can be used to level up your defenders while in a game.
However, you’ll first need to unlock the next level of defender by upgrading the training centers in town using elixirs. Elixirs can be easily collected over time from the distilleries you’ve built in town or by winning levels. There’s even the lab, which you can build, that allows you to increase your defenders’ range and damage permanently for all the defenders of the same type via research. Research uses up a lot of elixirs as well!
Ready to kick some alien butt? Great! To play a game, you’ll use up 1 energy point and once all of your 5 energy points are depleted, you’ll then need to wait for it to recharge itself over time. Of course, you can always spend real money to “speed things up”. There are also up to 3 stars you can earn per “Cower Defense” level and depending on how many lives you’ve lost to the aliens (you have 5) while you’re in-game, you’ll be rewarded with these stars accordingly. But of course, if you lose all 5 lives, you won’t be getting any stars since you’ll lose the game.
As you may recall, in Cower Defense, there’s a town where you can kick back and relax after a nice day of giving those pesky aliens their due. Well, besides constructing buildings, such as the training centers and the distilleries, there, you can also beautify it with many decorations. After all, your cow-tizens will still need to go on with their lives even in the midst of war and they might as well enjoy whatever comfort you can give to them!
Admittedly, despite the awesome gameplay, the dialogues in Cower Defense are perhaps one of the best parts in the game. Enjoy the humorous verbal exchange, which may contain a bit of insult-flaming and loads of cow puns, between the obnoxious aliens and the hot-headed cow sheriff. Everything about the game just screams out “whimsical” and if you’re having a hearty chuckle now and then in a game, you can be assured of having a great time there.
All in all, if you’re a huge fan of tower... uhm... “cow-er” defense games and are very appreciative of puns and humor, well you mustn’t miss out on this exciting game, Cower Defense. Join the cows in their fight against the aliens to protect their town today!
