Impostor Battle Hook puts you in the suit of a lovable crewmate. Rather than go about in a futuristic setting doing tasks and making sure someone doesn’t jump on you from a blind spot, you’re about to create a more direct approach to dispatching unwanted people.
The game has simple objectives. First, be on top of the ranks by eliminating as many enemies as possible. Second, don’t give your enemies room to put you out of the game. You’ll be pitted against five crew members on the opposite side of the battle map. Not to worry, though, you will have friends to cover for you. They also make good meat shields in case you’re about to be taken out. Are you still wondering what tool of the trade to use? It’s an extendable and retractable hook and chain you can aim, hit, and drag enemies over to your side of the map. Doing this counts as a kill. This implement isn’t exclusive to you. Your teammates have theirs, so do your enemies. It’s an even battlefield.
This 5-on-5 grappling fest is easy to understand. Use your finger to move around the map, and tap your screen to fire your hook and chain. You drag an opponent out of the match when any part of the hook comes in contact with any body part. Missed an opposing crewmate during your initial strike? There’s still a chance that your target, or another enemy player, will be snagged on your tool’s return trip. Moving around the moment your grappling implement is in the air widens your reach. This means you get a better chance at actually eliminating an opposing team member.
There will be unlucky moments when you can’t dodge an enemy’s grappling hook in time. You’ll find yourself being the kill for a few seconds. All hope isn’t lost, though, since you’ll respawn at a random part of the map, and there will be a little time when you’re immune to any further surprises. Each hook battle lasts a full minute, and you’ll win Gold based on your overall rank. The first few games are easy with all the mooks doing more running and less hooking, but they eventually learn with each succeeding match. Keep working to improve your game, or the later battles will have you as the mook who gets taken out most of the time.
What’s the Gold for, you ask? You can change your crew suit for better colors once you have enough to buy a new outfit. You can start with the colors you like and then decide if unlocking every skin is worth your time once you have the suit that best represents you. If you’ve played enough games, you’ll have enough Gold to buy everything anyway. It’s only a matter of how well you play your matches.
To wrap this up, Impostor Battle Hook is an excellent recommendation for players who like easy games that deliver immediate satisfaction with minimal fuss. Give this app a try and download today.
