Prepare yourself for the adventure of a lifetime in a land of fantasy
Tales of Wind is a massive multiplayer online role-playing game. Deep in a mythical land shrouded in dense forests and nature lies the village of Yggdrasil. All of a sudden, the earth trembles as a sinister force that has been slumbering slowly began to awake. The once peaceful creatures that live in the forest are being corrupted, and it is up to brave adventurers such as yourself to protect Yggdrasil and all that lives in it.
There is a total of four classes currently available to choose from. These are the Warrior, the Mage, the Cleric, and the Assassin class. For each beginning class, you can later branch out into one of two specialized class that have distinct skills from each other.
For starters, Warriors are your run of the mill melee character similar to most other RPGs. They have an overall balance in both offense and defense and can serve as a tank in a party. Warriors can advance to become Paladins, which is likely the best defensive character in the game. On the other hand, you can choose to advance as a Berserker, which focuses more on dealing damage and charging through the battle.
Next up there is the Mage class, which excels in dealing damage to mobs of enemies. Mages start off with primarily ice magic, allowing them to inflict slow and freeze de-buffs on enemies. Through class advancement, you can choose to learn even more potent ice magic as a Frostweaver or change things up with fire as a Pyromancer.
Those who usually opt to play as support will want to pick the Cleric class. This is the only class that can heal allies and provide powerful buffs such as increasing attack and defence of the team.
Hardcore support players can choose to advance into a Priest, providing a myriad of heals and buffs to the team to sustain everyone throughout a battle. Oddly enough, you can choose to go off tangent with being support and advance as a Ranger, becoming a semi-healer and damage dealer at the same time.
Last, but not least is the Assassin class for players who love to sneak up on people and fighting one on one. Assassins can advance into Asura, a chakra wielding character that focuses on wreaking havoc in battle more than stealth. Of course, if you are the silent assassin type, the other advancement into a Ninja is probably more your cup of tea.
There are a ton of contents available in the game currently, and you will eventually unlock them all by levelling your character up. As with other MMORPGs, you can grind for EXP by hitting monsters in the open-world areas. However, a daily EXP cap is implemented in the game. You can engage other players in battle in the Arena.
One of the more recent updates to the game is farming. Alike other mobile farming games, you can manage your own plots, planting and harvesting crops. It is a fun little side game deviating from the main game, although there is room for improvement for some of the controls.
You can also enter special stages such as Card Realm to obtain better cards to embed on your gears, and Equipment Realm to gain better weapons and armours for your character. Shells are the premium currency in this game and can be used to purchase gacha tickets for a chance to roll for new costumes.
Aside from hunting monsters, there is also a trading system implemented in the game where you can buy and sell things with other players using an automated system. You can even pre-order things while you go about your adventures and claim them when you are free.
Fans of mobile MMORPGs will definitely find Tales of Wind appealing. Download and try it out today!
