You can customize your character at the beginning of the game where you can choose different designs to match your tastes. Botworld Adventures have four species that you can pick from and also mix the designs and colors for your eyes and outfit. You can choose a random look when you click the dice icon at the upper right corner of your screen. If you are satisfied with what you have, you can then tap on the finish button to start playing.

The main feature of the game is the creation, upgrade, and usage of your bots. You can build your own if you have the botframe and the needed scrap materials for it. These can be obtained from a quest or battle rewards and scavenging through the loots scattered randomly in the outskirts of the town. Your robots can gain experience points if they participate in battle and if their EXP bar gets fully filled-up then you can level them up and do so gives you access to two skills of which you can select one and use. These greatly boost the performance of your bots and can be a deciding factor if you win the battle or not.

You can strategize on which bot you want to use and where to put them based on their type. Tanks are best in soaking damage and protecting your weaker bots while Chasers are the fast melee kind which can easily get close to enemy ranged units but Evaders are a great counter to them since they are built for running away. The Snipers deal a lot of damage with their normal attacks at a distance and Splashers can shoot over obstacles and has an area of effect feature. Finally, Brawlers are close-ranged attackers that deal a lot of damage to the enemy. You should mix and match the different types based on the situation.

Since you cannot control your party when the battle has commenced, Botworld Adventure gives you another way to participate in it with your Abilities. You get a maximum of four which you can have prepared to use in combat and you will get three when starting. All abilities, including those of your opponent's, begin their cooldown at the start of each fight. If the icon lights up, then it means that you can already use them, and if you do, it will start its counter again. The Loadout customize page is where you can switch your abilities, but it must be done outside of combat.
