Flipping, doing somersaults, and cliff diving is a favorite pastime of many people, probably including yourself. However, though the activity is fun and all, it can be rather dangerous if you have no idea what you’re doing. Thankfully, several mobile games let you enjoy the activity without the risks, following the footsteps of the acclaimed Cliff Diving game. One of them is Street Jumper, a fairly easy-to-pick-up yet challenging to master flipping simulator. Available on Google Play today, is it something you’d want to try out and jump into? Let’s check out what it has to offer first:
Street Jumper puts you in the shoes of someone who somehow loves to flip away and is on a journey to try out as many courses as he (or she) can to earn points. Though there’s no coherent story, you can assume the protagonist is trying to make a name for himself in the field. This is because there are many courses and circuits which progressively become more complex.
Street Jumper’s gameplay fits the category of being easy to learn yet extremely difficult to master. Your goal in every level is to make your character jump and flip and make them land in a targeted area that acts as a point multiplier. Sounds easy, right? Well, the thing is, you have to time your jumps and flips correctly to get as many points as possible. There are several points tiers that correspond to the medal you earn, and you need to reach at least the silver one to unlock the next level. Don’t worry, though: you’ll earn coins as you progress, and you can skip particularly pesky levels you can’t seem to beat.
To play Street Jumper, you need to time your jumps and flips perfectly. Jumps decide how far your character will go and where he’ll land while flipping correctly will ensure a safe landing and added points. To jump, all you have to do is tap on the corresponding button. Meanwhile, doing somersaults requires you to place a finger on the flip button; doing so will let your character spin in midair, and with each flip, you’ll earn 100 points. You then have to let go at the right time to make sure he lands on his feet. You will still gain points when you land on your face, but you won’t activate points multipliers.
There are many levels in Street Jumper, and each stage has its own set of quirks and gimmicks. Some of which range from smaller target score multiplier areas, elevated platforms, and even some mid-air obstacles. All these add a fair amount of variety to each level, giving you a fresh challenge and something to look forward to.
Overall, Street Jumper is a fun flipping and somersaulting simulator that definitely would be more than worth a shot. Though its gameplay is relatively simple, and you could even say one-dimensional, it successfully adds in variety via its stages while being challenging at the same time. So, go on a flipping adventure, earn hundreds of points with each flip, and complete your quest to be a top flipper.
