Collect cute animals to form a team to use in fights in Animal Quest: Idle RPG Review.
Equip them with never-ending draws of items for the animals.
Grow the cuties to become stronger against stronger bosses.
As a mysterious tree suddenly sprung up in the peaceful land, the world opened up to new possibilities. When struck with a large hammer, magical items appeared. Thus, the adventurers set off to find this tree to obtain these items—and so do the animals in their region.
That is the whole premise of the game, all right. This idle RPG presents quite an adventure even when playing idly. Developed by Gameberry Studios, they created a game where there is no need to think hard and just let them do the work.
It presents itself straightforwardly. The players see the team of cute animals at the center. On the left, they can equip what they want after smashing the hammer to the mysterious tree on the right. When starting an adventure by selecting a stage, you can sit back and watch the characters in action. If you want to make things quicker, there’s a speed meter where the player can make the game flow much faster.
Like in other idle RPGs, an animal’s skill will activate after cooldown to give more damage to enemies. When it comes to rewards, simply finish the level and collect acorns; that way, you can spend one to smash the tree with the hammer to obtain items.
Speaking of, the hammer is upgradable to smash potential higher rarity items. Aside from the items they wear, you can customize the way they look in the wardrobe for more freedom in terms of style if you want to keep the stats while changing the look of the equipment.
There are no cute animals without the use of gacha. By spending animals draw tickets, players can obtain randomized animals. Get the same one, and promote the animal to get stronger base stats. And you do not need to stay up at night while playing the game. When the app is closed, it can grind on its own, and by the time next you log in, they've developed further.
The enemies at different levels are not the only way to prove your animals’ might, as the players can compete against each other in the arena. You may have to look after your power level before competing against the opposing teams. The best bet you can win is if your power is higher than theirs, so keep grinding idly!
The main attraction is its pixelated art style, which blends with simplified 3D textures. The two aesthetics interact quite well. What is more memorable is the weapon and armor designs. The game may be idle, but gladly, it did not hold itself back from creating unique designs.
Surprisingly, with little effort, this game has more to offer. It sure does bring a grindy nature like any other Idle and non-Idle RPGs, but this one gives players the time to chillax while letting the cute animals go all out against enemies and each other. Don’t be too hesitant if you want to try another idle game (being a fan of cute creatures is a plus fan service as well), so give Animal Quest: Idle RPG a go! Available to both Android and IOS.
