It is time to gathering your dinosaurs into your fortress and prepare them for war.

Fight both through the storyline and thousand of player versus player battles to victory!
Ultimately this game is a tower defence strategy game; with a lot of options available to you. You can grow your castle’s defences with bunkers and turrets, increase your resource production abilities and train your hero Dinos. While there is a lot going on in the initial screens the tutorial brings you through it quite smoothly and sets you up to go early on. You will find yourself in real time combat against the AI, but this time you can control the very buildings of your fortress.
The Dinos are obviously a large part of Dino Empire, being both your heroes and the opponents throughout the storyline. Thankfully you have a good few to choose from as the game progresses. As you advance you unlock and find new Dinos, usually in egg form and you can even evolve the ones you have. Evolving your heroes look also changes the look of them, they gain more armour, weapons and skills. You can also alter their abilities be feeding them odd things, giving them runes and altering things in your Alchemy Lab.
With this power you might try the attention of rival players who will test your own defences and attempt to make off with the resources from your mines. Player versus player battles are not done in real time but you do assault the enemies base just as they have it laid out, just like they will do with yours. As such you are both looking to expand your attacking power while keeping up the defences on your base.
As is the way with all sorts of tower defence games you will find the end of the levelling curve is a far way off. Of course as you level people will grow jealous of your precious resources and covet them for themselves. This is when you really end up moving your focus to your defensive game and joining a guild for mutual defence. But of course if you want to skip ahead on that curve there is always the option of spending some of your real life money to move things along quicker, a lot quicker.
Now looks wise the game uses the graphics options available to it and runs very smoothly even in the larger battles. You will find the battles getting bigger and better. The Dinos start off cute and get ferocious as they evolve, all following the defined art style.
Controlling your Dinos and rushing them around the battlefields is very easy and great fun. Simple click and drag mechanics deploy them and buttons appear above them when they have abilities to use to aid you in combat. You will find yourself playing with different abilities and team members to find new avenues of attack.
All in all Dino Empire gives you thousand of options and two compelling reasons to play; both its wonderful PvE campaign and the engaging PvP element. Plus it has talking, fighting dinosaurs. What is not to like?
