Well, don’t miss out - come and check out this amazing MMORPG today!
To begin your adventure in Oz: Broken Kingdom, you should know that the Land of Oz is a pretty huge place. There are many regions you can explore and each region contains a linear path of stages which you’ll need to go through stage by stage. Entering a stage will cost you some energy points, but your energy bar will regenerate by itself over time and well, especially for the earlier levels, you can get some nice free energy refills whenever you level up.
You can also earn up to 3 stars per stage, and once you’ve attained all the stars for a stage, you can then “raid” the same stage for loot without actually needing to go through the whole combat sequence again.
Before playing a stage though, you’ll have to choose a hero from your team to play as. Similar to the original story, the Wizard of Oz, your adventuring team will consist of the Tin Man, the brave Lion of Oz and the legendary Scarecrow, aside from Ophelia who will fill in the role of Dorothy, in this game. However, do take note that the experience points you earn in the stage will be divided among all the heroes in your team.
Each hero is from one of the character classes available in Oz: Broken Kingdom. The Tin Man is from the Armor class; the Scarecrow is from the Magic class; the Lion is from the Strength class and lastly, Ophelia herself is from the Agility class. According to the Class Wheel in the game, each of the classes follow a certain set of rules that’s similar to the concept of the traditional paper-scissors-stone game.
In Oz: Broken Kingdom, heroes can also be evolved, provided that you have certain numbers of differently colored pearls and that you’ve reached level 8. You can also add gems to your heroes to further boost their stats at level 6. Gems can be combined to increase their quality as well as the stat boost they provide.
That said, if you have yet to reach that level, you could always boost your heroes’ abilities instead. Heroes’ abilities are governed by a CCG-similar mechanics and yet its mechanics are quite unique. The decks have fewer cards and used cards will be added back to the deck for redraws. The mana points system is rather different as well since your mana doesn’t “refill” itself after every round. When it comes to playing order though, the turn-based game usually lets you go first if you’re up against an AI opponent, but for a human opponent, a coin toss will be done, and the player who goes second will get an extra mana.
Another special aspect in Oz: Broken Kingdom is that every time an enemy acts, your hero will earn a special hero-specific point regardless of whether your hero will suffer any damage from the “act”. Once you have filled the meter with enough points, you’ll be able to activate (or in the case of a passive ability, auto-active) a unique inner power. Naturally, by using this advantage at the most suitable and perhaps critical moment, you might just be able to turn the tide of battle and win a seemingly lost battle.
PvP combat, on the other hand, is slightly different than normal combat because you can bring along 2 Arena companions. The companions are similar to your hero’s abilities in many ways since you can, for instance, upgrade your companions the same way as you upgrade your abilities. Your companions will also have their own classes to contend with, so it’s crucial to bring the correct companion to battle with you.
There are even guilds for you to join, new game modes to unlock, quests to complete and a ton of amazing stuff to buy using the game’s non-premium currency, Essences. :Let’s not forget that when it comes to graphics and sound, Oz: Broken Kingdom definitely has everything done properly and correctly. It is as good as it gets!
All in all, Oz: Broken Kingdom is an impressive mobile MMORPG based on the popular fairy tale story, the Wizard of Oz, that features a very engaging storyline as well as a unique and innovative gameplay. Couple that with superb graphics and sound and you’ll get to enjoy a mobile gaming experience that will completely blow your mind. So, what are you waiting for?
